Local Truck Driver – Poultry Industry

Specialised Breeders Australia (SBA) is a leading layer breeder. We pride ourselves in the quality of our product and the Australian layer market expects the best from us. Our primary farming and hatchery operations are located in Central Victoria. 

SBA has an opportunity available for a HR licenced truck driver. The primary vehicle used for the role is a hook-lift truck. Our role requires the collection and cartage of waste tanks but will also include internal transportation of eggs and chicks. Some yard duties will also be required.

Award rates and any applicable allowances apply. No interstate deliveries.

We have an immediate vacancy and are looking to fill the role as soon as possible. At this time, we will not be considering relocation requests.

Role information:

• Full-time, with ordinary hours worked across Monday to Friday.
• Must have a HR licence.
• Must have relevant driving experience.
• Local road cartage under the Road Transport and Distribution Award 2010 (no long distances involved).
• Manual handling of egg trolleys during loading and unloading; must have the physical capacity to undertake these duties.
• We are looking for a pleasant individual who enjoys driving and is comfortable and capable to undertake the required manual work.
• The role is very autonomous with little day-to-day interaction with people.

• Specialised Breeders Australia has strict biosecurity. Our employees cannot keep birds or pigs at their place of residence, or have household contact with a worker in these industries.
