Operations Manager - Strata & Commercial Maintenance Plumbing

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our field and office teams, streamline operations and drive excellence in service delivery.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, the Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across service coordination, field staff management, client relationships, budgets and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of technical plumbing knowledge, business management and strong people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage field technicians and service coordinator to ensure efficient job scheduling and completion.

• Oversee service delivery for strata and commercial clients, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.

• Implement and monitor operational systems, including job management software (e.g. ServiceM8, AroFlo, Simpro, Ascora).

• Manage budgets, Staff KPIs, Management KPI's and reporting to ensure productivity and profitability.

• Maintain strong client relationships with strata managers, facility managers, and commercial stakeholders.

• Drive safety culture and compliance across all works.

• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Daily liaison with the team and foster a positive and productive team culture.

• Resolve customer issues and escalations to ensure a high standard of customer service.

About You

We’re looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven experience in operations management within the plumbing maintenance sector.

Skills & Experience:

• Trade or technical background in plumbing and/or pumps (highly regarded).

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a maintenance or service-based industry.

• Strong understanding of strata and/or commercial hydraulic requirements.

• Proficient in job management systems and MS Office.

• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to balance client service with operational efficiency and profitability.
