About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Assistant to join our Operations team at our Minto facility.

This hands-on role is critical to ensuring our Herbal Medicine products are packaged efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Working closely with the Packaging Team Leader and Operations Manager, you will support daily packaging operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Filling, capping, labelling, and packaging herbal medicine products

• Following packaging procedures and GMP requirements

• Supporting production schedules to ensure orders are completed on time

• Completing production data entry and batch record documentation accurately

• Updating stock and production outputs within internal systems

• Conducting routine cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment and work areas

• Identifying and reporting quality issues, equipment faults, or production variances

• Adherence to WHS and proper use of equipment, housekeeping, correct lifting techniques, hazard reporting, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment

About You

You are a dependable team player who takes pride in producing quality work. You have strong attention to detail, enjoy working in a structured environment, and understand the importance of following procedures and maintaining compliance standards.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, production, pharmaceutical, food, or complementary medicine environment

• Exposure to GMP-regulated workplaces (highly regarded)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines

• A positive, respectful and kind attitude and willingness to learn

• This role involves regular manual handling, including lifting, carrying, moving and handling equipment/materials. The successful candidate must be physically capable of safely performing these duties, with appropriate manual handling training and equipment provided where required.
