Project Support & Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Project Support & Compliance Officer to support the delivery of demolition, remediation and asbestos waste removal projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across project documentation, safety compliance, site administration and operational coordination, while helping ensure projects are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with company IMS requirements, environmental controls and site compliance obligations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lodge SafeWork notices.

• Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), maintain records and upload approved documentation to the relevant project systems.

• Complete, submit and upload project-related documentation, including ARCP documentation, Site Management Plans and other project compliance records.

• Update and maintain project information within HammerTech to ensure project records remain current, accurate and compliant.

• Review project documentation to support compliance with IMS management requirements.

• Conduct site reviews and audits to check documentation, safety requirements, environmental controls and compliance obligations are being maintained.

• Assist with site establishment, including sheds, fencing, environmental controls, signage, safety reviews and implementation of site compliance requirements.

• Support ongoing site compliance by identifying documentation gaps, safety requirements and improvement actions.

• Maintain plant and equipment reporting, including machine hours, maintenance records, servicing information and related compliance documentation.

• Source, coordinate and deliver site consumables as required to support project operations.

• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to support administration and compliance activities.

About you

• Experience in demolition, remediation, asbestos waste removal, project administration, contract administration or a similar site-based support role.

• Strong understanding of demolition, remediation and asbestos-related safety documentation, SWMS, site compliance and project management systems.

• Experience using HammerTech or similar safety and project compliance platforms will be highly regarded.

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple documents, deadlines and project requirements.

• Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with managers, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to assist with site setup, consumables and operational requirements when needed.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

• Knowledge of relevant NSW legislation, regulations and guidelines relating to demolition, remediation and asbestos waste removal.

• Understanding of IMS management requirements, project documentation and site compliance processes.

• Ability to maintain accurate records, follow up documentation requirements and support project compliance across multiple work areas.
