Dispatch Operator

About the role

We are seeking part-time Dispatch Operator to join our dedicated team within Clayton, Victoria.

Dispatch Operators are responsible for monitoring and directing a large number of courier vehicles across metro and regional areas nationally, so high-level time management skills are essential. The successful applicant represents Clinical Laboratories to a large number of our clients and so excellent communication, professionalism and customer service skills are essential.

Specific duties include:

• Operating the TMS (Transport Management System) to ensure all jobs are allocated.

• Monitoring the TMS (Transport Management System) to ensure jobs are completed within required time windows and adjusting stops as required.

• Allocation and monitor Adhoc jobs via Phone, Portal and TMS (Transport Management System).

• Escalating customer enquiries to the appropriate department/person as required.

• Resolve clients’ complaints (where applicable) in a professional manner / Issues Log

• Assist with the efficient running of the Courier Dispatch Office.

• Onboarding new clients into the TMS system / Jira tickets

Skills and experience:

• Logistics/TMS (Transport Management System) experience.

• Excellent telephone manner and a high level of customer service skills.

• High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.

• Availability to work any shift Monday to Sunday.

• Compliance with all Company policies, including zero tolerance and a non-smoking workplace.
