Legal Assistant

The Role

Our client is a highly regarded international law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Perth office, supporting a busy team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, although a four day week may be considered for the right candidate.
Working closely with senior lawyers and the wider team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice. This is a varied position suited to someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex diaries and coordinating meetings and appointments
• Arranging domestic and international travel
• Preparing bills and assisting with billing and financial administration
• Assisting with matter management and general file administration
• Preparing presentations, reports and client documentation
• Managing electronic files, documents and archiving
• Maintaining accurate client and matter information
• Liaising with lawyers, clients and internal business services teams
• Providing proactive administrative support and ensuring deadlines and priorities are effectively managed

About You 
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Practice Assistant, Executive Assistant or similar legal support role
• Strong billing and financial administration experience, including bill preparation 
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build effective working relationships with lawyers, clients and internal stakeholders
• A professional, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach
• A genuine willingness to be part of a collaborative and supportive team
