The Opportunity

Our client is a leading international law firm with an excellent reputation in the Perth market. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their highly regarded Litigation team.

Working closely with two Partners and a team of lawyers, you will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support within a busy, professional and collaborative environment.

The team works across a broad range of complex and high-value litigation matters, together with regulatory and other contentious work for major corporate and commercial clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal support professional to join a high-performing team and gain exposure to sophisticated and varied legal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to two Partners and their wider team
• Diary and email management
• Monthly billing
• Managing multiple files and ensuring accurate document and file management
• Liaising with clients, counsel and other external parties
• Preparing and managing electronic court filings and e-filing processes
• Organising travel, including flights and accommodation
• Preparing correspondence and documentation as required
• General administrative support and assisting with ad hoc tasks across the team

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within a law firm
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, particularly with billing and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with Partners, lawyers, clients and other senior stakeholders
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of the team
• Strong document and file management skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• A professional, reliable and personable approach
