Law Student

This is an excellent opportunity for a law student to join a progressive boutique firm in an administration/para legal role.

Based out of our Brisbane office, you will be supporting our lawyers on the day to day administrative tasks as well as have the opportunity to work directly with quality private business clients on a wide variety of engagements, including:

1.         estate and succession planning

2.         wills and estates

3.         business structuring / restructuring

4.         governance for private businesses and Not for Profit entities

5.         commercial business law (business / share sales)

6.         Federal and State revenue law and taxation advice

You will be working closely with a very experienced tax, estate and succession planning, and commercial transaction lawyer, enjoy a healthy work-life balance and flexible working arrangements; and with well proven technology support. Our lawyers don't have billable hour targets. Success is measured by quality work and timeliness to meet the expectations of our private business clients. Your learning curve will be practical, steep and rewarding.

This role will ideally suit a candidate who:

1.         is a law student

2.         is keen to develop their taxation, estate planning, succession planning, governance knowledge, and experience in related commercial transactions;

3.         must be comfortable using AI resources;

4.         demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills;

5.         has a client-centric approach;

6.         is able to work autonomously; and

7.         has a confident, positive and professional attitude.

You will succeed in this role if you are personable, have excellent problem-solving skills, and are highly organised whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
