POSITION SUMMARY

FMR Investments is seeking experienced Development Bogger Operators based at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine, approximately 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie. The company provides transport between the site and Kalgoorlie. This residential (No FIFO) role operates on a 12-hour 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Development Bogger Operator at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of material throughout the underground operations. The role requires a strong understanding of mining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy equipment in challenging underground conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate underground loaders in accordance with site procedures and safety standards.

• Bog development and production headings, load and haul ore and waste material, and maintain accurate material segregation.

• Build level pillars using CRF material and assist with underground road maintenance, dust suppression, and water management activities.

• Conduct pre-start inspections, routine equipment checks, and promptly report defects or maintenance requirements.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, safe, and operational.

• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and teamwork.

• Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities to promote a safe working environment.

• Undertake other underground mining and labouring duties as directed to support operational requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential

• Proven experience operating a bogger in an underground mining environment

• Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence.

• Physically fit and able to work in hot, secure, and confined environments.

• Results driven with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• High initiative, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Flexible and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.

• Team-oriented with ability to effectively collaborate with other trades and stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

• Safety-focused with a commitment to zero harm.

Desirable

• Tele remote experience

• Strong technical knowledge in the gold resource sector operations or mining industry 

• First Aid or Emergency Response training

• High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)

• Elevated Work Platform Ticket (EWP)

• Confined Space Entry Ticket

• Working Safely at Heights Ticket

• Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence

• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)

• Shotfirer's Licence (Explosives User Licence)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must have full legal rights to work in Australia and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance and fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.
