Dispense Technician

About the role

Working closely with our pharmacists and wider team, you will help ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while providing warm, professional support to our patients. You will be expected to attend either location in Stones corner or Pinkenba as required

Key responsibilities

• Entering and processing prescriptions

• Selecting, labelling and preparing medications for pharmacist checking

• Maintaining accurate patient and dispensing records

• Managing stock, including ordering, receiving and monitoring expiry dates

• Responding to patient enquiries in person, by phone and through digital channels

• Coordinating with prescribers and healthcare providers when required

• Following privacy, safety and regulatory requirements

• Supporting the team with general pharmacy and administrative duties

About you

• Previous experience as a Dispense Technician or Pharmacy Assistant

• Experience using dispensing software, with Fred experience highly regarded

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Confidence using digital systems and learning new processes

• The ability to manage competing priorities calmly and efficiently

• A respectful, discreet and patient-focused approach

• A relevant pharmacy qualification or certification, where applicable
