Dispense Technician

About the role

Priceline Pharmacy Albury is seeking a Dispense Technician to join our pharmacy team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position based in Albury NSW 2640 that plays a vital role in ensuring our patients receive safe, accurate and efficient pharmaceutical services. As a Dispense Technician, you will be at the heart of our pharmacy operations, supporting our pharmacists and contributing directly to patient safety and satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills whilst working in a patient-focused healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately dispensing medications under the direction and supervision of a registered pharmacist

• Receiving and checking pharmaceutical stock, verifying accuracy and quality against delivery dockets

• Maintaining organised and clean dispensary areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

• Processing prescriptions and entering patient information into the pharmacy management system

• Labelling and packaging medications according to prescription requirements and regulatory guidelines

• Managing inventory levels, conducting stock takes and reordering stock as required

• Assisting customers with enquiries and providing information about over-the-counter products under pharmacist guidance

• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations when handling patient information

• Supporting the pharmacist in ensuring all pharmacy operations comply with relevant legislation and best practice standards

• Contributing to a professional, safe and welcoming pharmacy environment

What we're looking for

• A relevant qualification as a Dispense Technician or equivalent, or demonstrated competency in pharmacy dispensing

• Current registration with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) or eligibility for registration

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications and patient information

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and other team members

• A commitment to patient safety and understanding of pharmacy legislation and regulations

• Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems

• Professional demeanour with a customer service focus

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and reaching

• Preferably, previous experience working in a pharmacy or retail healthcare environment
