About Nocelle Foods

Since 1976, Nocelle Foods has supplied food products across Australia. From our Pooraka site, we manufacture and package nuts, dried fruits, snacks, pasta sauces, specialty foods and private-label products.

We are looking for a reliable cleaner to help maintain our offices, staff amenities and common areas.

The Role

This is a weekday cleaning role of approximately 20 hours per week.

You will generally work at least four hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is flexibility around start and finish times, provided the required cleaning schedule is completed.

This may suit someone looking for regular weekday work that can fit around school drop-off and pick-up times.

You will work independently to an agreed cleaning schedule and report to the Production Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.

• Clean and sanitise offices, lunchrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and common areas.

• Empty bins and separate waste correctly.

• Clean furniture, fixtures, touchpoints and assigned surfaces.

• Restock toilet paper, hand towels, soap and other supplies.

• Complete cleaning schedules and records.

• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas tidy.

• Use warning signs when cleaning creates a slip or other safety risk.

• Report hazards, spills, pest activity, damage, maintenance issues and supply shortages.

• Follow site hygiene, food safety, WHS and PPE requirements.

• Use the correct cleaning equipment and methods to prevent cross-contamination.

What We Are Looking For

Previous commercial, office, factory or food-site cleaning experience is preferred.

You will also need to:

• be reliable and attend work consistently

• be comfortable working independently

• follow a cleaning schedule without close supervision

• manage your time well

• understand basic cleaning methods and safe chemical use

• follow written instructions, labels and verbal directions

• communicate problems when you find them

• be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and carrying cleaning equipment

• have the right to work in Australia

Hours

• Approximately 20 hours per week

• Monday to Friday

• Approximately four hours per day

• Weekday office hours

• Start and finish times agreed with the successful applicant

• School-hours arrangements may be possible

We are looking for someone who wants regular, predictable weekday work and takes pride in keeping facilities clean and well maintained.

Classification and Pay

This position is covered by the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award 2020 (MA000073).

Casual loading, penalties, overtime and allowances will be paid in line with the Award.

The successful applicant will need to:

• provide two work-related referees

• complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check

• meet the hygiene and food safety requirements of a food-manufacturing workplace
