Quality Officer

About the Role: 

The Quality Officer leads quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC). The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing ISO 9001 Quality Management System, applying Lean process improvement methodologies, and using data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and drive measurable improvements in performance, compliance and quality outcomes. 

What we are looking for: 

• Experience maintaining and enhancing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System with a sound understanding of quality, risk, regulatory and legislative requirements. 
• Demonstrated experience applying Lean and structured improvement methodologies to review processes, conduct audits, and implement initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in performance, quality outcomes and compliance. 
• Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Forms and Excel to develop reporting frameworks, analyse data and generate insights that support evidence-based decision-making. 
• Create and maintain quality documentation, knowledge management content, reports, briefings and training materials, while providing advice and recommendations on quality issues and process improvements.

BPC is Victoria's regulator for building and plumbing.   

It supports the growing Victorian community through the developments of harms-based regulation that is proactive and informed by data and intelligence. The BPC regulates for better consumer outcomes and is committed to safety, compliance and buildings that last.
