Heavy Diesel Mechanic / workshop Forman

About the role

JMG Heavy Auto Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a range of heavy commercial vehicles and machinery.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair issues with heavy diesel engines, transmissions, diff, and other components

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment

• Perform electrical repairs and diagnostics

• Use specialized tools and equipment to effectively complete repairs

• Maintain detailed records of work completed

• Ensure all work meets the highest safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related automotive trade

• Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle qualification is required

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the commercial vehicle or construction equipment industry

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Commitment to workplace health and safety

• HR license recommended
