Reporting to the plant engineer, you will support site operations including production, plant and facility maintenance at our state of the art contaminated soil treatment facility and other site-based duties as required.

As the site operates around the clock, this role requires flexibility with shift work including day and night shifts to support production.

• Assemble, inspect, and maintain mechanical components and systems according to technical specifications, ensuring quality standards are met.

• Identify and resolve production issues, perform routine maintenance on machinery and make necessary adjustments to optimise performance.

• Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and efficiency, while maintaining accurate records of work performed.

• Conduct daily inspections of mobile plant, ensure regular maintenance and clean equipment as directed.

• Monitor thermal and soil washing plant operations through regular patrols, reporting observations to the Control Room Operator

• Develop and adhere to safety documentation, including JSEAs, risk assessments, work instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Support and promote all OHS&W policies, identify and report hazards as well as properly use required PPE in compliance with company safety standards.

• A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical or manufacturing fields would be advantageous.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to the production process.

• Strong attention to detail and focus on precision and quality in assembly tasks.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
