We have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate, exceptionally skilled and experienced Senior Barista & Coffee Lead to join The Good Grocer East Fremantle team.

As a Senior Barista & Coffee Lead, you will take ownership of the quality and consistency of our coffee offering, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained.

We are looking for someone who genuinely understands coffee at a high level and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer service.

This is not an entry-level barista position.

Ideal hours Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00am–2:30pm

Skills required:

• Extensive barista experience

• Strong knowledge on coffee extraction, grid adjustment and dialling in

• Exceptional customer service experience

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the coffee station

• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider store team

Key responsibilities

• Dial in and adjust the grind throughout the day

• Consistently produce perfectly extracted coffee

• Create exceptional milk texture and presentation

• Maintain high standards during busy service periods

• Keep the coffee station clean, organised and operating efficiently

• Take pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience

• Ability to manage and lead the team, ensuring compliance to Food safety standards

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

During quieter periods, the successful applicant will also assist within other areas of the store. A positive of course attitude and willingness to work as part of the wider team are essential.
