We're Growing! Multiple Trainer & Admin Roles – GCTC (Ipswich Campus)

About the role

Gold Coast Trades College (GCTC) is a division of People & Performance Solutions (PPS), a dynamic, client-focused RTO operating since 2004. We deliver hands-on, real-world training across the Construction, Landscaping, Automotive, Plumbing and Electrotechnology industries from Certificate I pre-apprenticeship and school programs through to Diploma level. This October we're opening a bigger, better Ipswich Campus! We are building the local Ipswich team to work alongside our amazing Tom, relocating from the Gold Coast to lead our new Campus!

Multiple roles are available:

• RTO Administrator — Full Time, Ipswich Campus. Keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes. You'll support enrolments, compliance, reporting and day-to-day admin for our Ipswich operations, working closely with Tom and the wider GCTC admin team.

• Construction Trainer — Ipswich Campus (Full Time, Part Time or Casual considered). A qualified Builder with Carpentry and ideally Roof Plumbing experience, ready to pass on real trade knowledge to the next generation.

• Certificate II Electrotechnology Trainer — Ipswich Campus (Full Time, Part Time or Casual considered). Bring your electrical trade experience into the classroom and simulated workshop to help students build the fundamentals.

• Certificate II Plumbing Trainer — Ipswich Campus (Full Time, Part Time or Casual considered). Share your plumbing trade experience and help set up the next wave of tradespeople for success.

• Certificate II Automotive Trainer — Ipswich Campus (Full Time, Part Time or Casual considered). For a qualified mechanic who's passionate about all things automotive and keen to train senior school students and career starters.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and support senior school students, VET in Schools students and young career starters, in both classroom and simulated workshop environments

• Deliver training in your relevant trade area

• Contribute to learning and assessment resource design or improvement

• Maintain understanding of training package requirements and ASQA compliance

• Travel occasionally to other GCTC delivery sites in SE Qld

About you

• Current industry experience in your relevant trade

• Trade qualification in the relevant area

• Current TAE40116/TAE40122 (or a commitment to gain one as quickly as feasible)

• Working with Children Blue Card (or a commitment to gain one prior to commencing work)

• Ability to engage and support senior school students, VET in Schools students and young career starters, in both classroom and simulated workshop environments

• Computer literate, with the ability to learn online theory assessment, reporting and administration systems within timeframes

• Obvious passion for your trade

• Other trade qualifications on our scope of registration

• Experience training school students and/or young people entering the workforce

• Strong understanding of training package requirements and ASQA compliance

• Experience designing or improving learning and assessment resources

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Willingness to travel occasionally to other GCTC delivery sites in SE Qld
