Conveyancer

About the role

This on-site position involves assisting the principal Licensed Conveyancer in coordinating conveyancing lodgements and settlements using PEXA.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating conveyancing settlements and lodgements in PEXA

• Attending to all post-unconditional settlement tasks including adjustment calculations

• Preparing, stamping and cheque directions

• Liaising with parties, lenders and the client where required

• Assisting the conveyancing team with broader practice administration as needed

• Ad hoc tasks that may be required from day to day

• Dealing with enquiries from lenders, real estate agents, solicitors, purchasers representatives and council

• Ensuring that the principal Licensed Conveyancer can operate the conveyancing practice and operations of the business by attending to all admin tasks and general duties in the most efficient and productive manner

About you

• Ability to move between tasks and prioritising work

• Exceptional communication skills on all levels

• Proven experience in a similar role and wanting to take on this all rounded role and grow within the business

• Experience using Leap

• Working knowledge of PEXA

• Experience with lodgements

• Experience with off the plan transactions

• Strong work ethic

• Exceptional ability to support and take on responsibility where needed

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Professional presentation

• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues before and when they arise

• Must be organised, able to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure at all times and nimble

• Must be able to work in a fast pace and have exceptional attention to detail
