The Role
Warrikal is looking for an Access Coordinator to facilitate the efficient and effective execution of all scaffold and rope access activities across the maintenance contract on site at South32 Worsley.
This role extends beyond traditional coordination and requires a highly capable operational leader who understands maintenance execution, client expectations, workforce planning and contract performance. The role acts as the second-in-charge to the Site Superintendent and is expected to provide leadership continuity during times of absence. The successful candidate will proactively identify operational risks, drive work execution, maintain strong client relationships and support continuous improvement across the contract.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily scaffold and rope access activities across the maintenance contractPrioritise work in alignment with client requirements and operational riskEnsure work orders are planned, resourced and executed efficientlyMonitor work progress and intervene where required to maintain schedule complianceCoordinate emergent and breakdown work without impacting planned maintenanceEnsure labour, equipment and materials are available to meet operational requirementsReview upcoming work schedulesIdentify labour shortages or capability gapsAct as the primary operational contact for client representatives.Build trusted working relationships with planners, supervisors and operations personnelAttend planning meetings and provide operational inputCommunicate schedule changes, constraints and risks proactivelyRepresent the business professionally at all timesProvide day-to-day leadership to supervisors and frontline teamsCoach supervisors in planning, communication and executionSupport workforce engagement and accountabilityDrive a positive safety and performance cultureLead operational meetings when requiredPromote a proactive safety cultureEnsure compliance with client and company proceduresParticipate in incident investigationsConduct field leadership interactionsVerify quality of scaffold and rope access servicesDrive corrective actions through to completion
About You
Eligible to work in AustraliaMinimum of 5+ years in Access works or similarExperience coordinating multidisciplinary workforcesDemonstrated leadership capabilityStrong planning and organisational skillsPrevious client-side planning, maintenance or operations experienceUnderstanding of maintenance planning and schedulingCommercial awareness of maintenance contractsStrong understanding of scaffold and/or rope access services
