Torode Xocolatl is seeking a mature, reliable and customer-focused Canterbury Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our Canterbury store. Reporting to the Venue & Retail Operations Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead a shift, support the team and maintain high standards.
  
Key responsibilities
Support the day-to-day running of the Canterbury store
Lead shifts and supervise team members
Deliver excellent customer service and a warm store experience
Maintain store presentation, cleanliness and product standards
Support beverage consistency, especially hot chocolate and café service
Assist with opening, closing, cash handling and daily store procedures
Restock products and support stock control
Train and Coach new team members and reinforce expectations
Escalate staffing, customer or operational issues appropriately
Ensure tasks are completed and communicated clearly to management
  
About you
Previous retail, café or hospitality leadership experience
Mature, dependable and calm under pressure
Strong communication and follow-through
Able to hold standards and lead by example
Organised, proactive and professional
Comfortable reporting issues and updates to management
Available to work weekdays, weekends and peak trading periods as required
