MAINTENANCE TRADESMAN, Journeyman PLUMBER NEEDED

About the role

Clever Plumbing Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tradesman Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team in the North West & Hills District of Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking plumbing company dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our residential and commercial clients. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work, troubleshooting plumbing issues, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. What you'll be doing

• Conducting routine maintenance inspections on residential and commercial plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they become problems

• Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of plumbing faults, including leaks, blockages, burst pipes and fixture malfunctions

• Installing, maintaining and repairing water supply systems, drainage systems, heating systems and associated plumbing fixtures

• Responding promptly to emergency call-outs and providing efficient solutions to minimise disruption to clients

• Carrying out preventative maintenance work to extend the lifespan of plumbing systems and reduce future repairs

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and plumbing codes to ensure compliance with Australian standards

• Maintaining accurate records of all work completed, materials used and time spent on each job

• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements, provide clear explanations of work needed and ensure customer satisfaction

• Operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly

• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and best practice procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Current Plumbing Journeyman qualification or equivalent recognised certification in New South Wales

• Minimum of 5+ years' practical experience as a qualified plumber working in maintenance, repairs and installations

• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, heating systems and fixtures

• Proven ability to diagnose complex plumbing problems and implement effective solutions efficiently

• Excellent understanding of relevant Australian plumbing codes, standards and regulations

• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain if required

• Valid driver's licence and reliable access to transport for travel between job sites across the North West & Hills District area

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients

• Reliable, professional and punctual with a strong commitment to health and safety practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights where necessary

• Preferred experience in preventative maintenance programmes and knowledge of modern plumbing technologies
