The role of Maintenance & Packaging Operator is newly created and will be offered as a full-time 12 month contract, Mon-Fri, 38 hours a week.
This hybrid role will involve you operating our kegging line day-to-day, while lending your mechanical aptitude to assist the maintenance team when packaging demand allows.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Independently operate the kegging line to a high standard of safety and quality
Support packaging operations during bottle production campaigns and provide coverage across packaging shifts as required
Ensuring equipment runs properly according to company guidelines
Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance activities
Support maintenance with equipment adjustments, belt tracking, tensioning, and replacement of worn conveyor components
Perform regular inspections of conveyor systems, including conveyor belts, rollers, drives, and transfer points, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently
Safely operate and maintain a range of hand tools and power tools, including grinders, drills, impact drivers, sanders, and cutting equipment
You will have:
Absolute dedication to safety
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem solving/trouble shooting skills
Good communications skills
Prior working experience with hand tools and power tools
This role is physically active and will require moving heavy loads, bending and stretching. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, crouch, bend, climb stairs and stand for long periods (full functional capacity assessment conducted to determine physical ability and limitations) .
