The Opportunity
As a Telecommunications Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering the maintenance, inspection, installation and upgrade of telecommunications infrastructure across Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Working across metropolitan, regional and remote locations, you'll spend your time in the field supporting your crew, solving problems and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. The role includes regular travel and working away from home, supported by competitive allowances and well-planned rosters.
No two days are the same. You'll work alongside a highly experienced team, take pride in delivering quality outcomes and help keep Australia's communications network connected.
What You’ll Be Doing
Installing, maintaining, testing and repairing telecommunications systems, equipment and associated infrastructure to ensure operational reliability and safety.
Conducting diagnostics, fault-finding activities, inspections and lifecycle replacement of telecommunications equipment and components.
Commissioning and testing antenna systems, feeders, radio frequency equipment and associated infrastructure.
Assisting in project delivery through the installation of telecommunications structures, antennas, feeders and related telecommunications equipment.
Providing operational support and on-the-job guidance to team members, promoting safe work practices and technical competency.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimise downtime and maintain system performance.
Maintaining accurate records, test results and documentation to support compliance, audits and project reporting requirements.
Performing telecommunications installation, testing and maintenance activities with limited supervision while ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements.

Rigging (Basic (RB) / Intermediate (RI) / Advanced (RA))
Telecommunications industry experience
Ability to travel and work away from home
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Reliable, professional attitude with the ability to work both independently and within a team
