The Role
This role is the first point of contact for managers and employees seeking advice and guidance on enterprise agreements, employment matters, policy interpretation, workplace compliance and best practice people management. This role also supports HR project delivery and has a key role in identifying opportunities to improve FRV policies, processes and procedures.
Functional Accountabilities:
· Support employees and managers by providing customer-focused advice and guidance on matters relating to recruitment, onboarding, performance, mobility and offboarding.
· Provide guidance and advice to employees and managers in the interpretation of FRV's industrial agreements, policies and procedures.
· Prepare and draft HR correspondence including letters, reports, presentations and briefings papers and accurately maintain employee related data and information.
· Undertake process reviews and identify opportunities to improve FRV policies, processes and procedures.
The Team
The People and Culture Directorate take a lead role in strategy development and implementation to enable Fire Rescue Victoria to have a safe workplace, a respectful and achievement-oriented culture, and an agile and engaged workforce. The key functions of the directorate are Human Resources Systems and Services, Workplace Relations and Ethical Standards, Organisational Development and Business Partnering, and Media and Communications.

What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
· Minimum Diploma Human Resources or another related field desirable.
· Generalist HR administration and/ or similar coordination experience;
· Experience in applying key legislation pertaining to employment (i.e. the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Equal Opportunity Act) desirable.
