Unapprenticed Junior

Coffey Testing is currently seeking motivated Unapprenticed Juniors to join our North Brisbane Laboratory who will play a vital role by providing basic support to Technicians to ensure the quality and safety of the construction materials used in some of Australia’s largest rail, mining and infrastructure projects. We have several full-time, part-time and casual roles available for Unapprenticed Juniors, and we encourage all to apply. This position is entry level and requires no prior experience so it is well suited to current and or graduating school students.

Main responsibilities/duties of the position:

• Attend all toolbox talks to ensure clarity around daily tasks;
•  Work under the supervision and follow direction from technicians;
• Assist technicians with preparation of samples;
• Set up work bench for technicians;
• Undertake a variety of preparation tasks in the laboratory;
• Ensure the lab is kept tidy and tools and equipment put away;
• Cleaning laboratory and laboratory equipment;
•  Understand and action all safety procedures and policies;
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties;
• Ensure your timesheet is completed correctly;
• Attends all shifts on time ready and able to work;
• Understand how to report an accident, near miss or hazard and follow the correct process if required;
• Report to your manager or HR if at any time you see any behaviour which compromises the integrity of Coffey Testing.
