Metal Fabricator

Plascorp, one of Australia's leading privately-owned manufacturers and distributors of Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe, and Steel Reinforcing solutions, is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble and weld structural reinforcing steel and heavy-gauge metal components.

• Cut, bend and shape steel according to technical drawings, blueprints and client specifications.

• Operate fabrication equipment including welders, plasma cutters, benders, overhead gantry cranes and forklifts.

• Carry out machine set-ups, changeovers and pre-start equipment checks.

• Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ACRS and project requirements.

• Repair and maintain fabricated steel products and components.

• Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery.

• Participate in continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.

• Meet daily production targets and complete accurate production reports.

Skills and experience required:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in metal fabrication or structural steel work.

• Proficiency in welding, cutting and fabrication equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Current forklift licence desirable.

• Strong time management, safety awareness, and ability to work independently or in a team.
