Procurement Assistant

Day & Night Healthcare is a growing national company, delivering to residential aged care, medical facilities and the community across the country and provides a comprehensive range of wound care, continence, nutritional and personal care products. 

We're looking for an organised and proactive Procurement Assistant to join our Procurement team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes staying on top of details, and wants to build a career in procurement and supply chain.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our purchasing running smoothly — from raising orders to chasing up suppliers and keeping customers informed on backorders.

We are open to concluding University applicants who may wish to kick-start their career before graduating (i.e. beginning with a part time schedule before moving into Full-Time position at conclusion of studies).

• Raising routine Purchase Orders with approved suppliers

• Following up on supplier ETAs, shortages and outstanding orders

• Managing the day-to-day customer backorder process

• Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records

• Handling purchasing admin, including the purchasing inbox and credit card purchases

• Assisting with stock adjustments and new product/item setup

• Providing purchasing coverage and support to the wider team

• A cooperative, "can-do" attitude

• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping

• Clear, professional communication skills

• Ability to think on your feet and make quick, logical decisions
