About the role?

We are currently seeking an experienced and people-focused Service Manager - Existing Installations (EI) to join our Service team based in Port Melbourne. Reporting to the EI Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Service Technicians, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of maintenance and service operations across a portfolio of existing installations.

This role is responsible for driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, financial outcomes and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You will play a critical role in building strong customer relationships, reducing downtime, improving service delivery and fostering a high-performing team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a team of Service Technicians.
• Managing maintenance operations and service delivery.
• Monitoring financial, operational and productivity targets.
• Allocating resources to maintenance, call-backs and shutdowns.
• Driving service quality and continuous improvement.
• Building strong customer relationships and resolving issues.
• Managing employee performance, training and development.
• Promoting safety and ensuring compliance with company standards.

What we are looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in the lift industry, building maintenance services or a similar technical service environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing field-based service or maintenance teams.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and deliver positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret operational data and drive improvements.
• Sound knowledge of maintenance contracts, service operations and workforce planning.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and business management systems.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Technical Services or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
