Electronics Technician

About the role

An opportunity exists for an Electronics Technician to assist with the manufacture, service and repair of a range of geophysical instrumentation. The role will involve assembly of equipment and cables, testing, fault-finding and repairs of electronic equipment and maintenance of equipment servicing databases.

Key responsibilities

• Assembly of equipment and cables
• Testing of electronic equipment
• Fault-finding and repairs of electronic equipment
• Maintenance of equipment servicing databases

About you

• Experience in the assembly, repair and servicing of equipment
• Experience in the manufacture of high-quality cable assemblies
• Keen and hard-working, well-organised with the ability to work in a small team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Fine pitch SMT rework experience
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and assembly instructions, including schematics
• Diagnose faults to a component level
• Experience in procurement of electronic components
• Familiarity with basic test equipment and the ability to conduct equipment testing in accordance with test procedures
