SUPERVISION OF STAFF IS A REQUIREMENT OF THIS POSITION
Ace Waste are a national 100% Australian owned business, tasked with the destruction of clinical, pharmaceutical and commercial/industrial waste. Ace Waste collects and destroys waste on behalf of the public and private healthcare system, as well as other state and federal government agencies.
You will become part of a team of staff that receive, organise and process containers of waste in a safe and efficient manner. The role will commence by performing the labour duties you will later be required to oversee. This is to ensure you have the full knowledge and skill-set to manage subordinates in these tasks. After successfully performing these duties for 4 weeks, training as a plant operator will commence.
Key Duties
Operation of Queensland's largest High Temperature Incinerator (in-house training is provided)
Supervise, and assist incinerator operations staff
Operation of weighbridge (in-house training provided)
Coordination of waste types for incineration or storage
Perform labouring duties, as required
Document control
Assist with site upkeep
Skills & or Experience
Forklift licence required
A technical/mechanical background is favourable
Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks
Attention to detail
The successful applicant must pass a National Police Check and be COVID19 vaccinated.
