This role sits within our Legal Advisory team and reports to a supervising Partner.
What will you be responsible for?Providing pragmatic, technically accurate legal advice to a range of large and key clientsAdvising on and managing matters including restraint of trade, wrongful termination, discrimination, unfair dismissal, general protections and industrial disputesDrafting workplace policies, employment contracts, enterprise agreements and other employment documentationPreparing and amending written advice and correspondence for clientsConducting legal research and supporting partners on complex mattersContributing to business development as your profile and confidence grows
Our ideal candidateYou'll be a genuine fit for our team - a bright spark with high IQ, but also high EQ (and you'll know why that matters in employment law). You're passionate about building a career in workplace relations and employment law, and you bring real commitment to helping clients navigate complexity with clear-headed, commercially sound advice.
2–4 years PAE as an employment law practitioner (private practice or in-house considered)Strong drafting skills and an eye for detail without losing sight of the practical outcomeComfortable working autonomously and managing competing deadlinesClient-facing confidence and a genuine interest in building relationshipsCurious, growth-oriented and collaborative - you make the people around you betterAdmitted to practice in Australia with full working rights and no restrictions
