Responsibilities

• Assist the carpenter with general building maintenance and repairs
• Help with minor carpentry, patching, repairs and installation works
• Moving and handling materials, tools and equipment
• Assist with furniture, doors, fixtures and building fabric repairs
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organised
• Follow site WHS procedures and maintain a professional presentation

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions
• Quick learner
• Previous experience as a labourer, trades assistant or maintenance labourer is beneficial
• Basic understanding of construction and maintenance works is beneficial
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling
• Strong safety awareness
• Reliable, punctual and well presented
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

The team delivers reactive and preventative maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, handyman services and minor works.
