For more than 50 years, Central Coast Community Women's Health Centre (CCCWHC) has worked alongside women to improve health, safety and wellbeing through access to information, choice and care.
Grounded in feminism, intersectionality, social justice, and trauma and violence-informed practice, we support women to navigate challenges, strengthen resilience, and achieve safer and healthier futures. We are seeking an experienced and values-aligned Clinical Practice Lead - Counselling to provide leadership across our counselling service and help strengthen the quality, consistency and impact of our practice.
About the role:As our Clinical Practice Lead, you will play a critical role in translating our organisational values and service model into everyday practice. Working alongside counsellors and the leadership team, you will support a culture of reflective practice, psychological safety, ethical decision-making and continuous improvement. You will help ensure our counselling service continues to deliver high-quality, trauma and violence-informed responses that:support safety and stabilisation;facilitate trauma recovery and healing;strengthen connection, resilience and wellbeing;uphold women's dignity, choice and self-determination; andcontribute to improved outcomes for women experiencing adversity, violence and inequity.This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking, practice leadership and day-to-day support of a counselling team.
About you:You are a highly experienced practitioner and supervisor who is passionate about supporting women and developing the capability of others.You will bring:Extensive clinical experience in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, social work or a related discipline.Experience working with women affected by domestic, family and sexual violence and a strong understanding of gendered violence and its impacts.Experience leading and developing teams of practitioners.Significant supervision experience, including individual, group and reflective supervision.Strong skills in risk assessment, clinical governance and ethical practice.Experience supporting trauma and violence-informed practice.The ability to foster psychological safety, reflective practice and professional growth within teams.Highly developed communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.A commitment to feminism, social justice practice.
