DIESEL TECHNICIAN-FLEET WORKSHOP O'NEIL TRANSPORT BASED IN OUR BALLARAT DEPOT

O'Neil Transport is a successful, regionally based transport business.   Our fleet of heavy commercial vehicles are serviced and maintained by a team of diesel mechanics in our well set out and modern facility.

The fleet consists mainly of Kenworth and Isuzu plant and BPW Trailer equipment.

Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic; workshop experience desirable

Skills/Experience

Experience in the service & repair of heavy transport equipment

Diagnostic skills experience would be an advantage

Experience in both Cat and Cummins is preferable but not essential

The Role:

You will be efficient and capable of prioritizing both routine and unexpected jobs

Maintenance of a modern fleet of Kenworth trucks and Isuzu rigids 

Service of Trailer equipment with BPW suspension and axles.

You will need to sign off on work for roadworthiness as being completed & safe 

You will actively contribute to ensuring that all workplace safety policies & procedures are maintained and followed at all times

You are experienced in the service & repair of heavy haulage equipment or mobile plant

You are committed to ensuring a safe workplace 

You are well organized

You are able to troubleshoot and resolve issues

You are a quick worker and can deliver on time and look beyond a ‘quick fix’

You have a keen eye for detecting issues and repair needs before they become problematic
