About the role
Fenner Conveyors part of the Michelin Group is the world leader in providing engineered conveyor solutions for mining and industrial applications. We offer a range of products and services from the design and supply of complete conveyor material handling solutions through to service, installation maintenance and diagnostics services.
This position is responsible for the evaluation and testing of raw materials to be used in the manufacture of conveyor belt as well as examination and testing of belt where quality issues arise to ensure the production of quality products
What you'll be doing:
Hands-on preparation of belt samples
Physical testing of rubber samples
Carry out Instrument calibration
Preparation and testing of vulcanized test sheets
Comply with outlined specifications
Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required
Job Responsibilities
Pre employment medical, laboratory drug and alcohol test, blood screening for baseline measurements
Experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering environment (desirable)
2 years working in a material testing laboratory
Experience with testing and evaluation of rubber compounds and rubber chemicals
2 years’ experience working with a quality management system /structure
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
Hold full Australian work rights
