Marsh Alliance is a well-established Australian manufacturer producing precision metal components for customers across a range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Power Press Setter / Operator to join our production team.

We're particularly interested in candidates with hands-on experience setting and adjusting power presses, multi-slide / four-slide machinery, stamping presses or other specialised metal-forming equipment.

If you're mechanically minded, understand tooling and know how to get production machinery set up and running accurately, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical position where you'll be responsible for setting, adjusting, operating and troubleshooting specialised production machinery.

This isn't simply a machine operating role – we're looking for someone who has experience with machine set-ups, tooling changes and production adjustments.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate power presses and specialised metal-forming machinery

• Perform tooling changes, machine set-ups and production changeovers

• Set and adjust tooling to achieve required specifications

• Monitor product quality and make fine adjustments during production

• Troubleshoot machine, tooling and production issues

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical information

• Carry out routine machine inspections and preventative maintenance

• Work closely with supervisors, Toolroom, Maintenance and Production teams

• Work safely while achieving quality and production requirements

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience setting and adjusting production machinery, ideally within metal manufacturing.

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly regarded:

• Multi-slide / four-slide machinery

• Power presses

• Punch or stamping presses

• Progressive die presses

• Mechanical presses

• Wire or strip forming machinery

• Other specialised metal-forming equipment

You'll also bring:

• Hands-on machine setting and tooling change experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability

• Experience making machine or tooling adjustments

• Ability to read engineering drawings or technical specifications

• A strong commitment to quality and workplace safety

• Good problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Also Highly Regarded

• Press tooling or toolmaking experience

• Wire forming experience

• Precision component manufacturing

• Machining experience

• Forklift licence
