Cladding & Building Construction Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will supervise employees, subcontractors and suppliers across cladding and general building construction packages. You will coordinate daily site operations, monitor the construction programme and ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and WHS requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cladding, façade, roofing and general building works while coordinating trades, subcontractors, plant, materials and deliveries.
• Plan daily and weekly work fronts, monitor productivity and maintain the construction programme, milestones and completion targets.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and inspections; review SWMS, JHAs, permits and site safety documentation.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, client and mine-site safety requirements.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and scopes while coordinating wall cladding, roof sheeting, façades, flashings and insulation.
• Check dimensions, set-outs, interfaces, penetrations and installation tolerances.
• Complete quality inspections, ITPs, checklists, defect reports and handover documentation.
• Identify design conflicts, access constraints and programme risks; manage RFIs, variations and technical queries.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship and progress.
• Maintain daily diaries, photographs and progress reports.

About you

• Experience as a Construction Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Cladding Supervisor, Façade Supervisor, Roofing Supervisor or Building Supervisor.
• Experience delivering commercial, industrial or mining construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of architectural cladding, metal roof and wall sheeting, façades or external building envelopes.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and coordinate subcontractors, trades, plant and materials.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality assurance and site documentation.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A practical trade or technical background in cladding, roofing, carpentry, building construction or a related discipline.
• Current Construction White Card and unrestricted WA C-class driver's licence.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to undertake regional and mine-site travel.
