The Role

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Officer to join our team. This role is an entry level role providing hands on first-line technology support to guests and staff across Peninsula Hot Springs.

Working alongside and under the guidance of the IT Support Officer and CTO, this role helps keep the day-to-day technology that our business relies on running smoothly - from Microsoft 365 and networks, to the point-of-sale, EFTPOS, booking, kitchen printing, and AV systems that our guests and internal teams depend on.

This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in IT to build foundational skills across a genuinely varied, multi-site hospitality environment, assisting with hardware and software support, ticket logging, and everyday troubleshooting while learning the wider technology and digital programme.

We offer this role as full-time (5 days) or part-time (3-4 days) to suit candidates completing IT studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Desk: Be the first point of contact for IT support requests, log and track helpdesk tickets, assist with staff onboarding, installing and configure end user hardware.
• Hospitality Systems: First line support for POS, EFTPOS terminals, booking systems, kitchen printing, and guest Wi-Fi.
• Infrastructure, Network & Security: Help monitor networks, assist with endpoint security, and maintain AV equipment.
• Systems Administration: Administer user accounts and licenses in Microsoft 365, maintaining software applications, hardware, systems and environments.
• Projects & Continuous Improvements: Provide technical assistance supporting the roll-out of new applications and solutions

Skills and Experience

• Certificate II/III in IT (or currently studying), or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 0-2 years in IT support, helpdesk or customer service (hospitality, tourism, retail background is a bonus).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and networking basics.
• Exposure to POS and EFTPOS terminals, or a willingness to quickly learn them in a live trading environment
• A foundational understanding of networking basics - Wi-Fi, switches and firewalls - or keen interest to develop this
• Interest in or exposure to booking or reservation platforms
• Comfortable troubleshooting everyday PC, mobile and peripheral hardware issues
• Strong customer service orientation, comfortable supporting both guests and staff.
• Friendly communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Current National Police Check
• Flexibility to work occasional early starts, evenings, or weekends.
