Bike Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bike Mechanic with strong e-bike knowledge to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, assembling, and maintaining both traditional bicycles and electric bikes to a high standard.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cycling technology, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair bicycles and e-bikes

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on e-bike systems

• Assemble new bikes and complete pre-delivery inspections

• Perform routine servicing including brakes, drivetrains, suspension, and wheel work

• Install and configure e-bike components including motors, batteries, displays, and controllers

• Use diagnostic software and tools for major e-bike systems

• Maintain accurate workshop records and service reports

• Ensure workshop cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards are maintained

• Provide customers with technical advice and product recommendations

• Assist with warranty assessments and claims where required

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is essential

• Experience working with e-bikes and electrical systems preferred

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of major e-bike systems and components

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to manage workshop timelines and priorities efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bosch, Shimano, Bafang, or similar e-bike systems

• Electrical or electronics experience highly regarded

• Current driver’s licence preferred
