Medical Specialist Practice Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and friendly practice manager to join our small team in Newtown and Darlinghurst working for an Orthopaedic Surgeon.

This is a full time role to work 5 days per week. We are looking for a start in the Middle of October.  

As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the professional and efficient running of the practice and for providing exceptional patient care. The role involves a variety of tasks:

• Managing the practice’s schedule on a week to week basis

• Providing information to patients who are considering surgery and booking patients for surgery at both RPA and St Vincent’s Private Hospitals

• Handling billing of private patients, workers compensation and third party patients and liaising with insurance companies and case managers

• Managing referrals and incoming correspondence

• Performing administrative tasks - emails, scanning, faxing

The successful candidate will have the following attributes

• Genie experience – essential, including use of billing software

• High level computer literacy

• Experience working in a busy environment and ability to multitask

• Ability to build and maintain connections with doctors, surgical teams and other admin staff
