Beauty Course Sales Consultant - AU/CA

Learning Online Group is one of the leading online course providers across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, with multiple education brands operating in each country.

Two of those brands are The Australian Beauty School and The Canadian Beauty School, the leading online beauty education providers in their markets. Between them we teach thousands of students in makeup, lashes, nails, skincare and beauty therapy, helping them turn their passion into a career or a side hustle.

We have openings on both the Australian and Canadian sales teams, and we are hiring multiple consultants across the two. This is our second round of hiring in South Africa. The first group started earlier this year, they are fully trained, hitting their numbers and earning commission, and they will be the people you learn the job from. 

You will be placed with the school that best fits your background and the market you would rather sell into. If you have worked in makeup, skincare, lashes, nails, beauty retail or a salon, and you are confident talking to people on the phone, we would love to hear from you.

Every day, students across Australia and Canada enquire through our website wanting to learn beauty. They've already shown interest and requested information, your role is to call them, understand their goals, build rapport, and guide them towards the right course for their needs.

This is a phone-based sales role, but it's very relationship driven. The people who do well here are warm, engaging, confident communicators who know how to connect naturally with customers while also being comfortable asking for the sale.

You'll be:

• Calling warm leads who have already enquired
• Learning about students' goals and interests
• Recommending suitable beauty courses
• Guiding students through the enrolment process
• Working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Building confidence through ongoing coaching and training

No cold calling involved, every person you speak to has already expressed interest.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Some of our best Course Consultants have backgrounds such as:

• Beauty counter consultants (MAC, Estée Lauder, Clicks, Dis-Chem, Truworths Beauty)
• Makeup artists
• Lash or nail technicians
• Salon coordinators or receptionists
• Beauty retail assistants
• Customer service or telesales/retail sales experience

What matters most is:

• A genuine passion for beauty
• A bubbly, warm, and energetic personality
• Confidence speaking with people on the phone
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliability, organisation, and consistency
• A competitive nature and motivation to hit targets
   

Sales experience is a bonus, even basic sales or retail experience is highly valued, but we can teach the sales process. What's harder to teach is personality, energy, and the ability to genuinely connect with people.

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Top performers earn well into six figures (ZAR) annually.

• R26,000 per month base salary
• Uncapped commissions (average additional earnings of R10,000–R12,000 per month)
• Comfortable annual earnings of R350,000–R450,000
