GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations. 

We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a safe, productive and sustainable operation. 

Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Ventilation Officer, the Ventilation Coordinator will support the safe and effective delivery of ventilation activities at Tahmoor Mine. This role is responsible for coordinating daily and shift plans, supporting the weekly mine plan, managing ventilation work execution and ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with site standards. 

This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities. 

Key activities include but are not limited to  

• Coordinate ventilation activities to support safe underground operations. 

• Develop and maintain daily plans, shift plans and ventilation work priorities. 

• Support delivery of the weekly mine plan and 13-week schedule. 

• Coordinate planned ventilation adjustments and changes. 

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to site standards. 

• Support compliance with the Mine Safety Management System and critical controls. 

• Coordinate contractors and resources for ventilation work. 

• Contribute to performance improvement, corrective actions and reporting. 

ABOUT YOU 

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience in underground coal mining, ideally in ventilation or operational coordination. 

• Graduate Diploma in Mine Ventilation or equivalent (desirable) 

• Undermanager or Deputies Certificate of Competency (desirable) 

• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience. 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising, coordinating or managing underground coal workgroups. 

• Strong planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to coordinate people, contractors, resources and work priorities. 

• Sound understanding of underground mining risk controls and compliance requirements. 

• Demonstrated ability to work within multi-functional teams and make sound operational decisions. 

• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop employees to improve engagement, capability and performance.
