ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking talented undergraduate or post-graduate students who have a genuine interest in becoming a patent attorney to undertake an internship with our Electrical Engineering and ICT team in Melbourne.

The DCC Patent Internship Program provides hands on work experience at a leading IP firm. You will have the opportunity to work alongside world leading patent attorneys contributing to patent drafting, filing, prosecution, IP portfolio management, oppositions and litigation.

Our 2026-2027 internship program will run from November 2026 to February 2027 (excluding the Christmas and New Year period). Each internship lasts 3 weeks, with start and end dates tailored to successful candidates' availability.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

• Completed 3-4 years of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in:
  • electrical engineering
  • software/computer science
  • ICT
  • artificial intelligence
  • physics
  • a related field
