About this opportunity
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is now actively hiring for Advisors, Election Staffing to support the delivery of the 2026 Victorian State Election.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering workforce initiatives that support one of Victoria's largest and most complex staffing programs. Working within the Election Staffing team, you'll contribute to large-scale recruitment campaigns, workforce planning projects, staffing strategy initiatives and operational readiness activities that help ensure elections are delivered successfully across the state.
We're looking for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems, working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and driving projects from planning through to implementation. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, analysing workforce data, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing trusted advice in a fast-paced and highly operational environment.
Candidates with experience in workforce planning, recruitment, project delivery, HR operations, labour hire, large-scale workforce programs or government project environments will be well suited to this role.

A day in the life of an Advisors, Election Staffing
As an Advisor, Election Staffing, you'll work across a range of strategic and operational workforce initiatives that support the recruitment, appointment and deployment of thousands of election staff across Victoria.
You may be leading components of major staffing projects, analysing workforce trends and performance data, developing new processes and procedures, coordinating recruitment campaigns, or partnering with stakeholders to improve workforce outcomes.

To be succ essful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience in high-volume workforce environments, election operations, recruitment, labour hire, project delivery or public sector settings will be highly regarded.
Working arrangements
These roles will initially operate under a hybrid working arrangement, with up to two days working from home each week.
As election activity increases, attendance requirements will change. From late October through to the election period, successful candidates will be expected to:
