Technical Sales Representative

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and professional Technical Sales Representative to join our well-established Automation and Instrumentation sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with our existing customer base, while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Western and Riverina regions of NSW. This role will suit someone with a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers throughout the Western and Riverina regions of NSW.

• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the company's customer base and increase sales within the territory.

• Provide technical product advice, support and solutions to customers based on their individual requirements.

• Assist customers with product selection and applications.

• Work closely with internal sales and technical team members to provide a high level of customer service and support.

• Prepare quotations, follow up sales opportunities and maintain regular communication with customers.

• Conduct customer visits and develop strong working relationships.

• Represent the company in a professional manner and contribute positively to the continued growth of the business.

About you

• Previous technical sales experience within the Instrumentation, Industrial Electrical, Automation or Mechanical industries would be highly regarded.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Well presented, professional and confident when dealing with customers.

• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales territory and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the Western and Riverina regions of NSW.
