Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator role is one of two Coordinator roles responsible for coordinating VV events and competitions including One Day Schools Series - Primary and Secondary, Indoor and Beach Schools Cup, Junior Open, social leagues and off-court events for VV and its members. This role also serves to support the administration of major events and competitions as part of a larger team, including Country Championships and supporting the Victorian Volleyball League Manager in the execution of the Victorian Volleyball League.

This role will also provide support to the Marketing Assistant for the distribution of event marketing materials as requested.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Support event preparation and administration, including pre- and post-event equipment checks, set-up and pack down, printing, liaison with workforce and key event stakeholders, fixturing, payments, and invoicing.
• Provide administrative support to the VVL, including weekly preparation, scoresheet checking, team lists, athlete attendance, data entry, and VVL website maintenance.
• Perform dedicated role and assist with the delivery of Melbourne Vipers home AVSL rounds
• Perform dedicated role in the preparation and planning for Schools Cup Events and Junior Open and in the execution of these on event days.
• Administration support for off-court events for the VVL awards dinner and other events as required.
• Verification of player and team eligibility across all events of responsibility
• Ensure that all relevant event and league information is accurately recorded in the database in a timely manner while treating all information in database in accordance with VVI Privacy Policy.
• Support marketing and promotion of events by implementing content relevant to the target audience and other stakeholders for publication on various media channels
• Manage the content of the events section of the VV website
• Coordinate in conjunction with the Marketing Assistant to distribute communications and marketing (digital) to promote VV events including, weekly recaps, video shorts, photos, Team of the Week, etc 

GENERAL DUTIES

• Equipment maintenance including storage
• General office management including maintenance, answering phones, booking meeting rooms etc.
• Development, review & updating of VV’s Event Regulations and project plans
• Support at major VV Events and activities
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate by Management from time to time
