We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. About the Role

As a Cook, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our busy kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Greek and contemporary dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.     Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, cook and present Greek and contemporary menu items to a consistently high standard.

Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, salads, sauces, dips and other menu components. Follow established recipes and preparation methods while maintaining consistency. Examine ingredients and food products to ensure freshness, quality and consistency.

Operate ovens, grills, fryers and other commercial cooking equipment safely and efficiently. Season and prepare food according to recipes and customer requirements. Ensure meals are appropriately portioned and attractively presented.

Prepare meals for customers with special dietary requirements, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Store food safely and maintain appropriate temperature control and stock rotation procedures. Assist with menu planning, daily specials and estimating food and stock requirements.

Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen in accordance with food safety standards. Supervise, train and support junior kitchen staff and apprentices where required. Work closely with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

  Skills and Experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Minimum 1 year of relevant commercial kitchen experience. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen operations.

Experience preparing Greek, Mediterranean or similar cuisine is highly regarded. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
