Cook /Chef(s) at Four Frogs

Salary: $62K to $70K plus superannuation

Locations: Sydney area (Randwick, Mosman, Lane Cove, Circular Quay)

Four Frogs are French restaurants in Sydney, proud of serving authentic “Crepes and Galettes” in a typical French atmosphere.

At Four Frogs, we care about offering the best experience: we believe details are particularly important and almost everything is homemade: we mill our own flour, we make most of our ingredients ourselves and all our preparations are cooked according to the French tradition, including sauces, syrups and much more).

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Kitchen Operations Support
  Assist in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and timeliness during service.

• Recipe Execution & Quality Control
  Prepare crêpes, galettes, and other menu items following traditional French methods and Four Frogs standards.

• Ingredient Preparation & Stock Rotation
  Support mise en place, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

• Supplier Coordination (with Manager)
  Collaborate with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to receive deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy.

• HACCP & Safety Compliance
  Follow established hygiene and safety procedures, contributing to a safe and compliant kitchen environment.

• Roster Participation
  Work within the rostered schedule and provide input on availability and shift coverage when needed.

• Staff Training Support
  Share your knowledge of crêpe-making techniques with junior staff and assist in onboarding new kitchen team members.

About you: 

• Diploma or Certificate in Cookery or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a crêperie or French-style restaurant

• Proven ability to execute traditional French recipes with consistency and finesse

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards

• Passion for teamwork, learning, and sharing culinary knowledge

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a great customer experience
