Job Title: Diesel Mechanic onsite Safety Assessor

Location: Knoxfield - Mobile/onsite. Ideally located in Western Melbourne.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a versatile individual who can wear multiple hats, combining onsite Plant Risk Assessments, MDG15 Compliance Reports and installation of safety systems to machines. This role will require strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of carrying out reports on site, and leasing with clients to ensure they can get there machines up to the required specification.

Onsite Duties:

• Assess Machinery in compliance with AS4024 Safety of Machinery and Compliance with MDG15 (Where applicable).

• Communicate with clients and on site managers to carry out reports or rectification works.

• Installation of Safety Systems. Eg. Isolators, Cabin Filtration, UHF, Emergency Stops, Exhaust Blankets.

• Help organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems.

• Handle data entry and record-keeping tasks.

• Assist with other ad-hoc factory/maintenance tasks as needed.

• Maintain Fire Maintenance - Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Drivers License.

• Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous Risk Assessment or Mining Compliance experience is a plus but not essential.

• Forklift License is a plus.

• Happy to Travel - Including Interstate as necessary.
