Be part of the dynamic and supportive Counselling Violence Prevention & Response Team in Child Youth & Family Services. This position provides clinical expertise and extensive specialised cultural knowledge to ensure Aboriginal worldviews are embedded in responses to violence abuse and neglect with a focus on children and families. What you'll be doing
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
The Aboriginal Clinical Lead will be integrated into the Child Protection Counselling Service in the Counselling Violence Prevention & Response team in Child Youth & Family Services. The position will plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised cultural knowledge to ensure Aboriginal worldviews are embedded in responses to violence abuse and neglect with a focus on children and families, consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
This role includes responsibilities for consulting across Child Youth & Family Services, provision of supervision and mentorship to Aboriginal clinicians, leadership of quality improvement initiatives, leadership in evaluation and reporting on services, development of service improvements, education tools and the teaching of other health care colleagues, and students on clinical placement.
